Description

The SEMA Data Co-op (SDC) claims to be the only end-to-end aftermarket data solution to author, validate, store and distribute aftermarket product data. They are a data service provider, owned and operated by SEMA, serving the automotive aftermarket industry.

SEMA understands what a challenge it can be to manage product data, whether it is weights and measures, accurate descriptions, current pricing, UPC codes or application data to power vehicle specific parts look-ups. That’s why we created the definitive, industry owned and operated centralized data repository, complete with a comprehensive set of online data management tools.

SEMA believes all manufacturers should have direct ownership of their product data and that it should be configured and stored in the accepted industry ACES and PIES data standards. The SDC provides a full-time Data Lab to assist Suppliers in the on-boarding process, and provides validation services to assure standards compliance before the data goes into the repository. Once it is securely stored, customers have the ability to receive data exports in whatever format they require to use in their internal warehouse, retail and Internet systems.

SEMA members get unlimited data exports at no charge.

Aftermarket product data rating by bronze, silver, gold and platinum

The SDC rates product data sets using a bronze, silver, gold, and platinum scale and shows any fields required to achieve each level.

SDC analysts work with resellers using the data to determine accurate listing levels for manufacturer product data.

SEMA Data Co-op acquires PartsHub

In 2020, the SEMA Data Co-op acquired PartsHub, providing a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to review and edit aftermarket product data without having to be an expert on industry data standards.
